Technology stocks continue to decline as investors worry that some companies might be overvalued, especially when it comes to the ”transformative” effects of AI. There has also been fear that the slowdown in tech companies will start to impact the data center market. Those fears were confirmed when Microsoft reportedly canceled some of its data center leases and scraped plans for some of its new data centers. Microsoft has since denied that their canceled leases have anything to do with their commitment to AI development but either way, it has put doubt into the market about the growth of data centers for the first time in a while.
